Strengthening implementation of Arhus Convention in Belgrade

Goal and Project Description:
The aim of the project is raising awareness and to stimulate dialogue for the implementation of the Arhus convention in Belgrade.
Activities of the Arhus center New Belgrade in 2018 are focused on the environmental impact assessment.
The expected result of the project are:
- Stimulated a constructive dialogue of stakeholder during the roundtable discussion on environmental impact assessment and draft modification of the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment in the Republic of Serbia.
- Raised awareness of the citizens in 17 municipalities of the City of Belgrade on the environmental impact assessment through the distribution of leaflets.
- Organized consultative process with decision makers and media on the local and national level about citizens involvement in the environmental decision making.
