Goal and Project Description:
The aim of the project is to support understanding of socio-economic benefits of implementation of EU nature related acquis in Serbia.
Project Results:
Project results are:
Built capacities of over 30 nature protection stakeholders on EU nature related acquis and socio-economic benefits of NATURA 2000 (training on socio-economic benefits of Natura 2000, prepared and distributed the brochure on socio-economic benefits of Natura 2000).
Strengthened partnership between civil and public sectors on nature protection (two consultation meetings with protected area managers, local authorities and other stakeholders , meeting of Natura 2000 Resource Center of Serbia network, meetings with Governmental institutions).
Promoted EU nature related acquis in local communities (Prepared and distributed posters ‘’What Natura 2000 will bring in local communities’’, prepared over 20 articles and posting on blog).
Target Group:
Environmental NGOs, protected areas managers, local authorities, and local communities in the future Natura 2000 sites.
